Caroline Kienzle is a native of Portland, Oregon. High school and college were spent in Rhode Island, while her MLIS was earned at the University of North Texas. Having been a high school English and history teacher she ultimately became Director of Libraries and Information Resources for the Irving Independent School District in Irving, Texas. Caroline has served on the Caldecott, Newbery, and Printz Awards as well as Best Books For Young Adults.
