Terry Ann Thaxton is a 5th generation Floridian, a poet, essayist, and teacher. She is a professor of English at the University of Central Florida where she also directs the MFA in Creative Writing Program. She has won various awards for her books, including two Florida Book Awards for her books Mud Song and The Terrible Wife. Terry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and published in Pithead Chapel, Teaching Artist Journal, Saw Palm, Defunct, and others.
