Havana, Cuba, 1979. Cuban-American writer, translator and publisher. He lives in Miami. His family comes from a long tradition of writers and publishers of children's literature. In 2010 he founded Linkgua USA, in order to represent, publish and promote the Spanish literature of Latin American authors. He has such well-known Awards as the White Ravens, 2013, the Children's Planet Award, Apel les Mestres 2009, the Gold Medal of the Florida Book Awards, 2015, the Golden Age Award 2000 and 2002, the Critics Award for Best Book Of the year (La Rosa Blanca, 2004). He is the author of over 200 published books that have been translated into 12 languages.
