Mallary Rawls is a Youth Services librarian at the LeRoy Collins Main Library located in Tallahassee, Florida. Mallary received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Florida State University in 2012 where she concentrated in Art History, Religion & American History. After finishing her BA she completed her Masters of Library & Information Science from Florida State University in 2015. While completing her Masters, Mallary worked as a graduate assistant for the Goldstein Library in FSU’s iSchool. She also worked as an archives assistant at the Claude Pepper Library in Special Collections at FSU. She began her work as a Youth Services librarian in the summer of 2016 and has enjoyed her work ever since. She has an 11-month-old daughter who she reads to every chance she gets. This is her first year serving on the Florida Book Awards Jury.
